BTS Agency Confirms Jimin’s Past Relationship with Song Da-eun
Big Hit Music, the agency behind the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, has confirmed that member Jimin was previously in a relationship with actress Song Da-eun. The agency’s statement, released on August 31, 2023, clarifies that the relationship has since ended.
The announcement follows a viral video in which Song Da-eun surprised Jimin as he exited an elevator, reigniting long-standing speculation about their connection. Rumors of their relationship date back to 2022, when fans noticed the pair wearing matching accessories and attending similar events together.
Agency Addresses Speculation
In its statement, Big Hit Music explained that it had initially chosen not to comment on the situation to respect Jimin’s personal life and that of Song Da-eun. “However, since many speculative reports regarding [Jimin’s] private life, as well as false rumors, have arisen, we are making a statement to clarify the facts,” the agency said.
Big Hit Music emphasized the mutual feelings and connection between Jimin and Song Da-eun, stating, “that was several years ago and they are not in a relationship now.” The agency urged the public to avoid making unfounded speculations about Jimin’s personal life and requested that individuals refrain from actions that could cause harm to both Jimin and Song Da-eun.
First Confirmation of a BTS Member’s Dating Rumor
This marks a notable moment for Big Hit Music, as it is the first time the agency has officially confirmed a dating rumor involving a member of BTS. The group, known for its massive global fanbase, often faces intense scrutiny regarding the personal lives of its members.
As fans continue to celebrate the music and accomplishments of BTS, the agency’s transparency regarding these personal matters reflects a balance between the members’ private lives and the public’s curiosity. Moving forward, it remains to be seen how this revelation will impact the relationship between BTS and its dedicated followers.
