Blackpink Announces New Mini Album ‘Deadline’ Set for Release on February 27
K-pop sensation Blackpink is set to make a highly anticipated return with the announcement of their new mini album, titled Deadline, scheduled for release on February 27, 2025. The news was revealed by YG Entertainment on January 14 through a captivating social media teaser featuring striking pink visuals against a dark backdrop.
The mini album will be available at 1:00 PM KST, which translates to 12:00 PM in Singapore. This release coincides with Blackpink’s ongoing world tour, aptly named the Blackpink World Tour, which commenced in July and will conclude with three final shows at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on January 26.
During the tour, members Rosé, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa captivated audiences with performances, including three consecutive shows at the Singapore National Stadium in November. In response to fans’ enduring support, a representative from YG expressed gratitude, stating, “We deeply appreciate our fans for their long wait. We will repay their support with high-quality music, so we kindly ask for your continued interest.”
This upcoming album marks Blackpink’s first group release in over three years, following their successful album Born Pink, which was released in 2022. That album featured chart-topping singles such as Pink Venom and Shut Down, further solidifying the group’s position in the global music landscape.
In 2025, Blackpink achieved another milestone with their digital single Jump, which secured the group their third number one on the Billboard Global 200. This accomplishment made Blackpink the first K-pop girl group to reach this significant milestone, showcasing their immense popularity and influence.
As excitement builds for Deadline, fans around the world are eagerly anticipating the new music that promises to reflect the unique artistry and energy that Blackpink is known for.
