For instance, Maqbul, an engineer from Bangladesh, shared his experience working under a Chinese supervisor who demonstrated respect through simple yet meaningful actions. During meetings, the supervisor stood until Maqbul was invited to sit, acknowledging his seniority. “You are at least 10 years senior,” the supervisor explained, highlighting a mutual respect that fosters a sense of pride and belonging among employees.

In Brazil, Tharcizio, the Country Representative, emphasized how local professionals are given essential management roles, improving integration and decision-making in collaboration with their Chinese counterparts.

Jnana Ranjan Pradhan, a marine site engineer in Dubai, underscored the Company’s strict compliance regarding necessary permits for marine dredging. In Côte d’Ivoire, project employee Alex Freddy noted that open discussions regarding labor contracts reflect the Company’s commitment to respecting local employment systems. This approach fosters trust and transparency, enhancing employee satisfaction.
