3,300 New BTO Flats to Launch in Singapore with Shorter Wait Times

Singapore’s Housing and Development Board (HDB) announced the launch of approximately 3,300 Build-to-Order (BTO) flats available for sale in October, featuring waiting times of less than three years. This initiative aims to address the urgent housing needs of residents, as the flats will be spread across four projects located in Bedok, Sengkang, and Yishun.
Details of New BTO Projects
Among the offerings, Yishun Glade will present 569 units, including two-room flexi and four-room flats, with an estimated waiting time of just two years and seven months. This development, consisting of four 15-storey blocks, will feature amenities such as a senior care centre, a rooftop garden, fitness stations, and playgrounds. Nearby shopping options include Junction 9 and Yishun Mall, along with easy access to the Khatib Bongsu Park Connector, which links to Yishun Pond Park.
The second project in Yishun, dubbed Chencharu Grove, will offer a total of 826 flats, ranging from two-room flexi to five-room options. It will also have an estimated wait time of two years and seven months. Located along Bah Soon Pah Road, this development will include a preschool, playgrounds, and a communal garden. Residents will enjoy nearby dining and retail venues at Khatib Central, Wisteria Mall, and Northpoint City, while a proposed integrated development will enhance connectivity to public transport.
The final project in this category, Ping Yi Court in Bedok, consists of five blocks with 862 flats, offering two-room flexi to 3Gen options. With an estimated wait time of two years and nine months, Ping Yi Court will support community interaction through its courtyard design and will feature amenities such as a preschool, rooftop garden, and fitness stations. Residents will benefit from proximity to Kaki Bukit 511 Market and Food Centre, Bedok Mall, and the Heartbeat@Bedok, which houses various community facilities.
Future Developments and Initiatives
Another noteworthy project is Fernvale Plains in Sengkang, with an estimated wait time of two years and eight months. This development will include five blocks of flats, accommodating 830 units and 207 community care apartments. It aims to cater to senior residents by providing enhanced living conditions and care services. Eligible seniors moving to these community care apartments can apply for the enhanced Silver Housing Bonus of up to S$40,000 (USD 30,800) starting in December.
The October BTO exercise will also include projects in other regions such as Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Bukit Merah, Jurong East, and Toa Payoh. With these initiatives, HDB aims to exceed its initial target of launching 4,500 shorter waiting time flats in 2025, bringing the total to 4,690.
HDB has committed to releasing an additional 4,000 shorter waiting time flats each year over the next two years in a continued effort to reduce waiting times and expand housing options for those in urgent need of accommodation.
