UNISOC Launches Global “ChipFire” Program to Inspire Young Innovators
UNISOC, a leading global technology company, has launched the “ChipFire” classroom initiative, aimed at inspiring young minds in science and technology. Announced on November 7, 2025, in Shanghai, this global education program offers hands-on learning experiences focused on chips and 5G technology. Already, over 10,000 teachers and students have participated, engaging in activities designed to spark their interest in technology and innovation.
Commitment to Sustainable Innovation
UNISOC emphasizes that sustainable and responsible innovation is central to its mission. The company is guided by Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, which promote low-carbon development and digital inclusion. In a world where environmental challenges are mounting, UNISOC aims to demonstrate that technology can serve both efficiency and ecological responsibility.
Through their innovative chip technology, UNISOC has integrated green solutions into everyday life. Over the last year, their chips have facilitated the operation of billions of shared bicycles, leading to a reduction of more than 900,000 tons of carbon emissions. Additionally, their 5G chip has achieved a remarkable 40% reduction in core power consumption, which translates to approximately 816,000 tons of CO2 eliminated annually—significantly below the industry average. Furthermore, in Internet of Things (IoT) applications, UNISOC’s high-efficiency chips have enabled partners to optimize power use, collectively reducing carbon emissions by around 310,000 tons per year across various sectors.
Bridging the Digital Divide
Despite advancements in technology, approximately three billion people worldwide still lack access to the digital landscape. UNISOC believes that true innovation should enhance connectivity for all, rather than contribute to the digital divide. Their products, which are now available in over 140 countries, power one in every eight smartphones globally and one in every four cellular IoT devices.
Efforts to foster inclusivity extend to specific demographics, such as the elderly and children. UNISOC’s senior-friendly smartphones and health-monitoring devices are designed to help older adults integrate into the digital world, impacting tens of millions of users. Their commitment to child safety is evident in their smart wearables, which have already safeguarded over 100 million children globally.
Through the “ChipFire” classroom program, UNISOC continues to engage with youth, allowing more than 10,000 young individuals each year to experience science and innovation firsthand via hands-on experiments. Additionally, their smart point-of-sale (POS) systems are enhancing payment experiences for small businesses, supporting entrepreneurship on local streets.
As UNISOC looks to the future, their vision is clear: to make innovation limitless and connections without borders. Each technological advancement brings society closer together, fostering warmer, more inclusive interactions.
Ensuring Responsible Innovation
In the fast-paced world of technology, trust is paramount. UNISOC recognizes that innovation must not only focus on speed but also on fostering trust among users. The company integrates robust governance frameworks into its operations, believing that transparency is essential for building confidence in technological advancements.
Implementing ESG principles throughout its corporate strategy, UNISOC leverages digitalization to improve efficiency and maintain accountability. The company adheres to the ISO 14064 greenhouse gas verification standard and utilizes a carbon-emissions management platform to oversee its environmental impact. During the most recent reporting period, UNISOC recorded total greenhouse gas emissions of 14,876.8 tons CO2e, achieving an emission intensity of only 0.94 tons CO2e per million RMB of revenue—significantly lower than the industry average.
To further its commitment to sustainability, UNISOC promotes green office practices, including smart offices and paperless workflows, which enhance operational efficiency while supporting sustainable practices.
The company’s dedication to social responsibility extends beyond compliance; it represents a long-term commitment to fostering low-carbon development and nurturing trust in technology. As UNISOC continues to collaborate with global partners and customers, its goal remains clear: to ensure that every technological innovation is trustworthy and accessible to everyone, everywhere.
