UNISOC Launches Global “ChipFire” Initiative to Inspire Young Innovators
UNISOC launched the “ChipFire” classroom program in Shanghai on November 7, 2025, aiming to enhance science education and stimulate young people’s interest in technology. This global initiative allows participants to engage in hands-on learning experiences focused on chips and 5G technology. To date, over 10,000 teachers and students have joined the program, exploring the transformative power of innovation.
As a leading global technology company, UNISOC emphasizes its commitment to sustainable and responsible innovation. The company operates under Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, promoting low-carbon development, digital inclusion, and technology that prioritizes human needs. UNISOC’s vision centers on creating a greener and fairer future through technological advancements.
Advancing Sustainable Technology
The relationship between technology and environmental sustainability is increasingly important. UNISOC recognizes that while intelligent systems enhance efficiency in modern life, they also contribute to rising energy consumption and environmental pressures. The company asserts that technology should not only deliver speed and performance but also respect the environment.
Over the past year, UNISOC’s chips have supported billions of shared bicycles, resulting in a reduction of more than 900,000 tons of carbon emissions. Additionally, their 5G chip has achieved a 40% reduction in core power consumption, eliminating approximately 816,000 tons of CO2 annually—significantly below the industry average. In Internet of Things (IoT) applications, UNISOC’s high-efficiency chips have enabled partners to optimize power consumption by an average of 20%, translating to about 310,000 tons of carbon emissions cut across global industries.
Looking ahead, UNISOC is committed to leveraging technology to promote a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Bridging the Digital Divide
Despite rapid advancements in technology, approximately three billion people globally remain without access to the digital world. UNISOC believes that innovation should serve to bridge this gap rather than widen it. The company aims to ensure that technology fosters closer connections and equitable access.
UNISOC products are now available in over 140 countries, with one in every eight smartphones globally powered by their technology. The company has also made significant strides in enhancing digital life for vulnerable populations. Their senior-friendly smartphones and health-monitoring watches have assisted tens of millions of elderly individuals in integrating into the digital landscape. Moreover, UNISOC’s efforts in the children’s smart wearables market have protected over 100 million children worldwide, contributing to their safety and well-being.
Through the “ChipFire” classroom initiative, UNISOC enables more than 10,000 young people each year to experience science and innovation through interactive experiments. The company also supports small businesses with smart point-of-sale (POS) terminals, enhancing payment convenience and fostering entrepreneurship.
Commitment to Trustworthy Innovation
As technological advancements accelerate, the importance of trust in innovation becomes paramount. UNISOC emphasizes that responsible operations and low-carbon practices are critical to gaining public trust. The company integrates ESG principles into its corporate strategies and daily operations, enhancing transparency and efficiency.
UNISOC adheres to the ISO 14064 greenhouse gas verification standard and utilizes a carbon-emissions management platform to systematically track greenhouse gas data. During the reporting period, the company reported total greenhouse gas emissions of 14,876.8 tons CO2e, with an emission intensity of only 0.94 tons CO2e per million RMB in revenue—substantially lower than the industry average.
The company also implements green office practices, promoting low-carbon operations through initiatives like smart offices, green meetings, and paperless workflows. As a responsible global technology enterprise, UNISOC recognizes that its commitment to social responsibility extends beyond mere compliance; it represents a long-term dedication to sustainable development.
By continuing to work collaboratively with global customers, partners, and society, UNISOC aims to ensure that every technological innovation is not only impactful but also worthy of trust, making innovation accessible to everyone, everywhere.
