UNISOC Launches Global “ChipFire” Program to Inspire Young Innovators
On November 7, 2025, in Shanghai, UNISOC unveiled the “ChipFire” classroom, an innovative global science education initiative aimed at igniting young people’s interest in technology. This program allows participants to engage in hands-on learning experiences centered around chip technology and 5G, with over 10,000 teachers and students already taking part.
UNISOC, a leader in innovative technology, is dedicated to advancing sustainable and responsible innovation. The company emphasizes its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, focusing on low-carbon development, digital inclusion, and technology that prioritizes people. This approach aims to foster a greener and fairer future for all.
Driving Sustainable Innovation
As modern life increasingly relies on intelligent systems, the challenge of sustainable living becomes more pressing. UNISOC asserts that technology should not only enhance speed and performance but also demonstrate respect for the environment. Over the past year, the company has made significant strides in integrating green technology into daily life.
UNISOC’s chips have supported billions of shared bicycles, resulting in a reduction of more than 900,000 tons of carbon emissions. Their 5G chip has achieved a 40% reduction in core power consumption, eliminating approximately 816,000 tons of CO2 annually—well below industry averages. In Internet of Things (IoT) applications, high-efficiency chips have helped partners optimize power consumption by an average of 20%, leading to annual carbon emissions cuts of around 310,000 tons across various global industries.
Looking ahead, UNISOC aims to continue leveraging technology to create a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Enhancing Digital Inclusion
In an era marked by rapid technological advancements, nearly three billion people still lack access to the digital world. While technology can enhance convenience, it also risks widening the gap between different populations. UNISOC believes that true innovation should connect people rather than isolate them.
The company’s products reach over 140 countries and regions, with one in every eight smartphones and one in every four cellular IoT devices relying on UNISOC technology. By enabling features such as senior-friendly smartphones and health-monitoring devices, UNISOC has helped tens of millions of elderly individuals integrate into the digital landscape. Additionally, the company has protected over 100 million children globally through its smart wearables.
Through the “ChipFire” classroom program, UNISOC engages more than 10,000 young people each year, providing them with hands-on experiences in science and innovation. Furthermore, smart point-of-sale terminals powered by UNISOC technology offer convenient payment solutions to small businesses, supporting their growth and aspirations.
UNISOC envisions a future where innovation is limitless and connections are borderless, ensuring that technological advancements benefit all individuals.
Commitment to Trustworthy Innovation
As the pace of digital transformation accelerates, the importance of trust in technological innovation has never been greater. UNISOC recognizes that responsible operations and low-carbon practices are critical to building public trust. The company asserts that sound governance is essential for fostering innovation within a transparent and efficient framework.
By embedding ESG principles into its corporate strategy, UNISOC enhances operational efficiency while ensuring accountability. The company adheres to the ISO 14064 greenhouse-gas verification standard and employs a carbon-emissions management platform to systematically track greenhouse-gas data. During the reporting period, UNISOC reported total greenhouse-gas emissions of 14,876.8 tons CO2e, achieving an emission intensity of just 0.94 tons CO2e per million RMB in revenue, significantly below industry averages.
Furthermore, UNISOC promotes green office practices that contribute to low-carbon and high-efficiency operations. Initiatives such as smart offices, green meetings, and paperless workflows enhance productivity while advancing sustainability in everyday work environments.
As a global technology enterprise, UNISOC understands that social responsibility is a long-term commitment. The company is dedicated to collaborating with customers, partners, and communities worldwide to drive low-carbon and sustainable development, ensuring that every technological innovation is worthy of trust and accessible to everyone, everywhere.
