Strutt Inc. Wins Top Design Awards and Launches Production in Singapore
Strutt Inc., a leading mobility robotics company based in Singapore, has achieved significant recognition by winning two prestigious international design awards for its innovative personal mobility product, the Strutt ev1. The company received the Red Dot: Best of the Best for innovation excellence and the Red Dot: Luminary, the highest honor in one of the world’s most esteemed design competitions. These accolades underscore Strutt’s commitment to advancing intelligent mobility solutions, particularly for an aging population.
The Strutt ev1 stands out for its pioneering integration of advanced automotive technology into personal mobility devices. Its compact and elegant design not only sets a new industry standard but also highlights the importance of user-friendly solutions for everyday navigation. The Red Dot Award: Design Concept, evaluated by a panel of 16 international experts from 13 countries, celebrates innovative design solely based on its merit, further solidifying Strutt’s position as a leader in mobility innovation.
New Manufacturing Facility in Singapore
In conjunction with its recent accolades, Strutt is establishing a manufacturing facility at JTC’s Bulim Square in the Jurong Innovation District. This move is designed to support the company’s scaling efforts and streamline the delivery of its award-winning mobility technology. With renovations at the facility nearing completion, Strutt aims to produce 1,000 units per month once operations begin.
Tony Hong, CEO of Strutt Inc., expressed pride in the company’s achievements, stating, “Achieving both Red Dot: Best of the Best and the Red Dot: Luminary is a tremendous validation of our innovation approach. As a Singapore company, we’re proud to bring this dual international recognition home while establishing manufacturing capabilities in Singapore.”
The establishment of this production facility aligns with Singapore’s broader Smart Nation initiative, which aims to harness technology to enhance the quality of life for all citizens, particularly the elderly. Strutt’s focus on developing mobility solutions addresses pressing societal needs through accessible digital platforms and autonomous navigation capabilities.
Strengthening Community Engagement and Global Expansion
To further integrate its innovations into the community, Strutt has partnered with MOBOT, Singapore’s largest personal mobility device retailer, to introduce the Strutt ev1 to local consumers. On October 14, 2025, the company conducted a user testing workshop that attracted notable attendees, including former Singaporean actor Chow Chew Meng and para-athlete Theresa Goh. Goh highlighted the ev1’s intuitive design, saying, “The Strutt ev1’s intelligent navigation features represent a significant leap forward in mobility independence.”
Looking ahead, Strutt is set to participate in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2026, an important milestone in its strategy for global market penetration. This event will further showcase Singapore’s role as a key hub for technological development and production.
Strutt Inc. embodies the convergence of innovation and social responsibility, demonstrating how advanced technology can enhance daily life for an aging population. With its dual international recognition and new manufacturing facility, the company is well-positioned to lead the way in intelligent mobility solutions that prioritize user experience and accessibility.
