Rakshit Shetty Celebrates Four Karnataka State Film Awards for ‘777 Charlie’
Actor and director Rakshit Shetty expressed his gratitude after his film ‘777 Charlie’ won four awards at the Karnataka State Film Awards on October 4, 2023. The film, which has resonated with audiences across India, received accolades for Best Actor, Best Editing, Best Lyricist, and was named 2nd Best Film.
In a heartfelt post on his X timeline, Shetty stated, “Feeling grateful and humbled! ‘777 Charlie’ wins 4 State Awards… Heartfelt thanks to the jury, our amazing audience, and this incredible team.” He specifically acknowledged the contributions of key individuals, including Kiranraj K for his vision, Pratheek for the seamless editing, and Nagarjun Sharma for crafting lyrics that resonate deeply.
The narrative of ‘777 Charlie’ centers on a character named Dharma and his beloved dog, Charlie. The film’s success led the production team to commit to donating 5 percent of its profits to non-governmental organizations focused on the welfare of Indie dogs and animals across India. Shetty previously remarked, “We believe that the only way to celebrate this success is by celebrating the multitude of people who have tirelessly worked in union in bringing this film on screen.”
In addition to supporting animal welfare, the team will also distribute 10 percent of the profits to every individual who contributed to the film’s creation. Shetty emphasized the importance of acknowledging the collaborative effort involved in making the film, highlighting the dedication of the entire team.
