HiTHIUM Launches AI Data Center Solution at RE+ 2025

HiTHIUM, a global leader in energy storage technology, unveiled its latest innovations during RE+ 2025, held from September 8 to 11 in Las Vegas. The company introduced its dedicated AI Data Center (AIDC) Energy Storage System (ESS), a significant development aimed at addressing the energy demands of AI data centers. This launch positions HiTHIUM at the forefront of the energy transition in the tech sector.

The exhibition featured HiTHIUM’s comprehensive Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions. A standout moment was the presentation of the full results from the world’s first all-open-door, large-scale fire test on the ∞Block 5MWh BESS. This test drew considerable interest and showcased HiTHIUM’s robust technological capabilities and commitment to safety.

During the event, HiTHIUM partnered with S&P Global Commodity Insights for a keynote discussion titled “Powering the Future: AI Datacenters and BESS.” This session highlighted the increasing pressure AI data centers place on grid capacity. Experts emphasized how on-site renewable solutions, particularly BESS, can alleviate grid strain, expedite project timelines, and enhance sustainability efforts.

Safety remained a primary focus at RE+ 2025. HiTHIUM shared comprehensive details about the large-scale fire test, conducted under the supervision of UL Solutions. In a collaborative roundtable, HiTHIUM engaged with UL Solutions and other industry leaders to discuss essential safety requirements for grid-scale storage. The company announced plans to conduct similar rigorous testing in the United States, reinforcing its dedication to safety and transparency for local customers and partners.

HiTHIUM is also strengthening its foothold in North America. At the exhibition, the company signed a cooperation agreement with Microgrid Networks LLC to deliver complete solutions for ten energy storage projects in New York. The projects will collectively offer a capacity of 55 MW/290 MWh, marking HiTHIUM’s inaugural projects in the city and a pivotal step in its North American expansion strategy.

Beyond the exhibition, HiTHIUM demonstrated its industry influence by participating in Mackenzie’s podcast, Interchange Recharged. In this episode, Neil Bradshaw, Director of Application Engineering, and Bryan Chen, Chief of Staff, discussed the implications of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB) on clean energy supply chains. They addressed the opportunities and uncertainties presented by this legislation, highlighting HiTHIUM’s strategy of leveraging U.S. manufacturing alongside global research and development to navigate the evolving market landscape.

With the launch of the AIDC ESS solution, the successful fire test, and its ongoing U.S. expansion, HiTHIUM has displayed substantial capabilities across innovation, service, and safety. The company has solidified its position as a market leader, ranking among the top two globally in energy storage battery and utility-scale shipments in the first half of 2025. This achievement underscores HiTHIUM’s commitment to driving robust growth in the energy storage sector.
