17th Uzeyir Hajibayli International Music Festival Begins in Azerbaijan
The 17th Uzeyir Hajibayli International Music Festival is set to commence in Azerbaijan on September 18, 2023. This annual event honors the legacy of Uzeyir Hajibayli, a pivotal figure in Azerbaijani classical music. Organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in collaboration with the Azerbaijan Culture Ministry, the festival will run until September 28, 2023. It has garnered support from the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).
This year’s festival promises a diverse array of cultural activities across several cities, including Baku, Sumgayit, Shusha, Ganja, Agjabadi, Nakhchivan, and Gazakh. The event will feature a rich program consisting of concerts, performances, exhibitions, scientific symposia, and masterclasses.
