Education in Motion (EiM) has unveiled a comprehensive initiative focused on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into educational frameworks worldwide. Announced on January 28, 2026, this program aims to combine innovation with academic rigor, offering a scalable AI framework, school-based research pilots, and ethical governance within EiM’s existing digital ecosystem.

Located in Singapore, EiM’s initiative is spearheaded by Crispian Farrow, Chief Innovation Officer, in collaboration with Dr. Rose Luckin, a leading authority on AI in education and Professor Emeritus at University College London. The partnership with Educate Ventures Research will help organizations effectively leverage AI, focusing on how to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

The initiative will explore practical applications of AI in educational settings, aiming to clarify the strategic purpose of technology integration. This includes fostering human-centered learning, upholding ethical practices, and ensuring academic integrity in an increasingly AI-driven landscape. The program targets not only students but also teachers and the wider community, ensuring responsible use of AI tools.

Through real-world applications in schools, the initiative will deliver a scalable AI framework across EiM’s network of institutions, including the renowned Dulwich College International. Additionally, it will provide a comprehensive AI playbook for teachers, designed to enhance their understanding and application of AI in the curriculum. A focus will also be placed on developing a curriculum that promotes AI literacy and critical thinking skills among students.

In a statement, Lesley Meyer, Chief Education Officer at EiM, emphasized the importance of discernment in adopting new technologies. “Our aim is not to chase tools, but to strengthen the human heart of education — critical thinking, creativity, empathy,” she said. Meyer reaffirmed that the initiative ensures AI serves teaching, integrity, and student well-being.

Farrow further elaborated, describing the initiative as an “operational roadmap with guardrails.” By combining rigorous evaluation of AI’s impact with evidence-based resources, EiM plans to create secure and compliant integrations of AI technology. Every participating school will contribute data to identify effective practices while avoiding ineffective methods.

“I am truly impressed by what I have seen at EiM so far,” noted Professor Rose Luckin, who also serves on EiM’s Education Advisory Board. “Effective AI in education must be ethical, evidence-informed, and focused on learning,” she added. Dr. Madiha Khan, Director of Research & Consultancy at Educate Ventures Research, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the initiative’s commitment to rigorous, equitable, and scalable approaches.

The program’s first phase will focus on teacher competency development in the digital realm, introducing an AI critical thinking framework suitable for different age groups. Additionally, it will include protocols for data and impact evaluation and ongoing support through monthly consultation clinics.

EiM has a long-standing commitment to educational excellence, having empowered over 11,500 students across its global network of schools. Since its establishment over two decades ago, EiM has blended innovation with tradition, offering a range of premium educational services. This includes various schools such as the bilingual Dehong®, the sustainability-focused Green School International, and the outdoor-based Ignite program.

The new AI initiative positions Education in Motion as a forward-thinking leader in the education sector, preparing students to thrive in an AI-influenced world while maintaining a strong foundation in academic integrity and ethical purpose.
