Indonesian Authorities Investigate Influencer Lula Lahfah’s Death
Authorities in Indonesia are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of influencer Lula Lahfah, who was discovered lifeless in her apartment in South Jakarta on the evening of January 23, 2024. The police have not yet confirmed the cause of death and are actively gathering evidence and statements from witnesses.
Budi Hermanto, the head of public relations for the Metro Jaya police, stated in an interview with CNN Indonesia on January 25 that investigators are “still probing the cause of death, examining witnesses and analysing the available evidence.” This ongoing investigation has raised questions among fans and the wider community about the events leading up to her death.
Lula, aged 26, was found in her apartment with medication and an outpatient treatment letter at the scene. Reports indicate that she had previously been hospitalized for several days due to various health issues. In a comment on TikTok, she disclosed that she suffered from a urinary tract infection, inflamed intestines, kidney stones, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
As part of the investigation, police have scheduled interviews with Lula’s boyfriend, musician Reza Oktovian, known professionally as Reza Arap, along with several of her close friends. Hermanto emphasized that the police are looking to gather information about Lula’s medical history and her state of mind prior to her death.
Following the news of her passing, Reza expressed deep sorrow on his social media platforms. In a poignant post, he wrote, “Take me instead,” reflecting his grief. During Lula’s funeral on Saturday, Reza was observed visibly emotional, kneeling on the ground in mourning and being consoled by friends and family.
The police investigation continues as they seek to understand the full circumstances of Lula Lahfah’s untimely death. As the community mourns the loss of a vibrant social media personality, many await further details from the authorities regarding the findings.
