Singapore Post (SingPost) has introduced a new collection of stamps and a special collector’s sheet as part of its celebration for the upcoming Year of the Horse. The launch took place on January 20, 2024, marking the continuation of a 12-year series that began in 2020 with the Year of the Rat. The horse, being the seventh animal in the Chinese Zodiac, symbolizes various traits including adventure and freedom.

Starting from January 26, 2024, the horse-themed stamps will be available at all post offices, philatelic stores, and through SingPost’s official website. The new collection features two artistic designs representing the spirited nature of the horse. The stamps are issued in two denominations: First Local at S$0.62 and S$2.

In addition to the stamps, SingPost is offering pre-cancelled first day covers, which will include the complete set of stamps. These covers will be priced at S$4.85 and come with a unique postmark celebrating the Zodiac Horse. A presentation pack that contains both stamp designs will be available for S$5.35.

The collector’s items also include a special sheet that emphasizes the characteristics of individuals born in the Year of the Horse. This collector’s sheet, along with a set of eight traditional red packets, is priced at S$19.15. For those interested in a more personalized experience, SingPost will also provide a Zodiac MyStamp Folder. This folder will feature a decorative MyStamp sheet highlighting the attributes of the horse, available for S$22.20.

SingPost aims to engage both stamp collectors and the general public with this themed collection. As the Year of the Horse approaches, these vibrant stamps and collector’s items offer a unique way to celebrate the festivities associated with the Lunar New Year.
