eBay celebrated its annual Exporter of the Year 2025 event in Hanoi, Vietnam, on December 30, recognizing the achievements of sellers from emerging markets who contribute to global trade and sustainable commerce. The two-day event gathered over 200 top-performing sellers from regions including Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, creating a vibrant platform for connection, learning, and recognition.

During the awards night, 22 sellers were honored for their remarkable growth and commitment to providing exceptional buyer experiences. These sellers effectively utilized eBay’s resources, including marketplace access, logistics, advertising, and seller tools, to navigate the complexities of cross-border trade despite ongoing global uncertainties. Notably, sellers from Southeast Asia emerged as significant contributors within the global emerging markets sector.

At the event, representatives from Singapore’s SCC Consignments, Lau Boon Yang and Junius Chia, received the Collectibles Excellence Award. Dennis Tan from Typhon Machinery was recognized with the Business and Industrial Excellence Award, while Amit Chilgunde from Creation Watches earned the Fashion and Watches Excellence Award. Additionally, Yuumi Ngui from Singapore and Johanthan Indra from Indonesia were named runners-up for the Collectibles Excellence Award.

Empowering Sellers through Knowledge and Resources

The Hanoi edition featured keynote addresses from global eBay leaders along with interactive workshops and networking sessions. Participants gained actionable insights into emerging trends, AI-powered commerce, and strategies for global growth. Highlights included a 2026 global market outlook, category-focused workshops on Parts & Accessories, and sessions on managed shipping and advertising strategies.
