Kastar Launches Advanced High-Tack Sealants for Global Market
Kastar, a leading manufacturer of sealants based in Foshan, China, has unveiled its new high-tack MS Polymer sealants to meet stringent environmental and performance standards in global construction markets. On December 30, 2025, the company announced that these innovative sealants are designed to replace traditional solvent-based and polyurethane options, which are increasingly scrutinized for health and compliance issues.
The introduction of these sealants comes as the construction industry prioritizes low-emission materials that provide long-lasting performance. In regions including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, contractors are shifting towards cleaner alternatives that do not compromise on bonding strength. Kastar’s high-tack MS Polymer sealants are formulated without solvents or isocyanates, curing through moisture and offering both immediate adhesion and long-term flexibility.
Innovative Development from Industry Standards
Kastar has played a significant role in developing China’s national MS polymer sealant standards. According to Tom Zhou, Chief Engineer at Kastar, this involvement has provided valuable insights into the common failure points of sealants in real-world applications. “Being involved in standards work gives us a clearer view of where sealant failures tend to occur in real-world use,” Zhou stated. This understanding has shaped Kastar’s product development focus, emphasizing stability, compatibility, and long-term reliability rather than just short-term adhesion.
The high-tack MS Polymer sealant is engineered to balance quick application with durable performance. It is designed to bond effectively with various construction substrates, including concrete, metals, and brickwork. This versatility makes it suitable for both new construction projects and renovations. Once cured, the sealant can be painted over with many commonly used architectural coatings, enhancing its integration into finished surfaces.
Stringent Quality Control and Global Reach
Kastar operates a state-of-the-art production facility covering 50,000 square meters, equipped with a CMA-certified laboratory. Each production batch undergoes rigorous testing across more than 100 parameters to ensure consistent quality. The company maintains samples from each batch for future reference, reinforcing its commitment to product reliability.
In addition to its manufacturing capabilities, Kastar invests in research and development. The company has three in-house R&D laboratories dedicated to silicone sealants, MS polymer materials, and specialty functional sealants. Collaborating with Tsinghua University, Kastar continually refines its products to withstand diverse climates, from freezing winters to scorching summers.
With over 27 years of experience in the adhesive sealant industry, Kastar supplies its products across multiple regions, including North America, Europe, Oceania, and Southeast Asia. The company offers OEM and ODM services, allowing partners to customize formulations and packaging to meet local regulations and market needs.
Kastar’s high-tack MS Polymer sealants represent a response to the evolving demands for environmentally compliant and performance-driven solutions in the construction sector. By prioritizing quality and innovation, Kastar aims to contribute to safer and more reliable building projects worldwide.
Founded in 1997, Kastar is a core brand of Kater Adhesive Industrial Co., Ltd., a high-tech manufacturer specializing in construction sealants and adhesives, particularly focusing on MS polymer technologies. The brand offers a wide range of solutions, including hybrid MS sealants, polyether sealants, and fireproof sealants, catering to both standard and customized construction applications.
