Dubai to Host FIFA Best Awards Ceremony in 2024
FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced that Dubai will be the host city for the prestigious FIFA Best Awards in 2024. This announcement was made during the World Sports Summit held in Dubai on December 29, where Infantino highlighted the significance of the event in honoring the top performers in football.
The FIFA Best Awards celebrate the best male and female players, along with coaches and teams, as determined by votes from fans, media representatives, team captains, and national coaches. Infantino expressed enthusiasm for this new partnership, stating, “I can announce here a new partnership we have closed together to honor the best players, coaches, and teams, here in Dubai.”
The event promises to showcase the unity that sports brings to the world. This year’s edition in Doha recognized notable talents, with Ousmane Dembele receiving the award for best men’s player and Aitana Bonmati being honored as the best women’s player. The FIFA Best Awards serve not only to recognize individual accomplishments but also to celebrate the collective spirit of the sport.
Dubai’s selection as the host city reflects its growing prominence in the global sports landscape. The city has previously hosted numerous international sporting events, establishing itself as a hub for sports tourism and entertainment. With this upcoming ceremony, Dubai aims to further enhance its reputation as a premier destination for major sporting events.
As FIFA prepares for the 2024 ceremony, fans and stakeholders alike are eager to see which players and coaches will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to football over the past year. The anticipation surrounding the awards will likely draw significant attention, both locally and internationally, as the football community comes together to honor excellence in the sport.
