Johannes Klaebo Celebrates 100th World Cup Victory in Trondheim

Norwegian cross-country skier Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo marked a historic milestone on December 5, 2023, by clinching his 100th World Cup victory in Trondheim. This achievement solidifies his position as a frontrunner for the upcoming Winter Olympics scheduled for February 6 to 22, 2026, in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Klaebo, a five-time Olympic champion, became the first male athlete to reach this landmark and the second overall, joining the ranks of retired compatriot Marit Bjoergen, who boasts 114 World Cup wins from her illustrious career that concluded in 2018. Following his win in the men’s classic sprint, Klaebo expressed his feelings, stating, “It is hard to put into words. I have always tried to take one race at a time.
