K-Beauty and K-MediTech Expo Malaysia 2025 Drives Innovation
The K-Beauty Expo Malaysia 2025 and K-MediTech Expo Malaysia 2025 concluded successfully on November 28, 2025, at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre. This inaugural event, hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by KINTEX, showcased South Korea’s leading innovations in beauty and medical technology. The expos attracted thousands of visitors, including buyers, healthcare professionals, and beauty enthusiasts from across Southeast Asia.
The opening ceremony featured several distinguished guests, such as Mr. Sang-woo Hong, Ambassador for International Relations from Gyeonggi Province, and Mr. Jaeyul Lee, President of KINTEX. Other notable attendees included local government representatives like YB Wong Hon Wai, Executive Council Member for Tourism & Creative Economy, and YB Connie Tan, Penang State Legislative Assembly Member. Their presence underscored the significance of this event and the strong support it received from both governmental and industry sectors.
Exhibitors at the expo reported high engagement levels from Malaysian and regional buyers, reflecting the growing demand for Korean innovations. More than 150 Korean brands showcased their latest products, including advanced skincare formulations, derma-cosmetics, AI-powered beauty tools, diagnostic systems, biosensor technology, and state-of-the-art medical devices. The three-day event was marked by a lively atmosphere filled with activities such as personal colour analysis, Korean traditional games, and live demonstrations from exhibitors.
Throughout the event, visitors had the opportunity to interact directly with companies looking to establish partnerships within the ASEAN region. Educational institutions and local influencers also contributed to the buzz, with student groups participating in guided tours and influencers sharing highlights on social media platforms. These efforts helped broaden public awareness and attracted additional attendees during the weekend.
In conjunction with the expos, the 10th ASEAN Meeting of Aesthetic Surgery & Medicine (AMAS 2025) took place, where professionals gathered to discuss dermatology, clinical innovations, and future trends in the industry. This combination of events further emphasized the importance of collaboration between Korea and Malaysia in the fields of beauty and healthcare.
As the expos concluded, organizers highlighted their role in strengthening commercial ties between the two countries. With Korea’s reputation for excellence in beauty manufacturing and medical technology, the successful debut of these expos in Penang signifies the potential for further collaboration and business expansion in the region.
KINTEX expressed gratitude to all exhibitors, partners, and visitors for contributing to this successful first edition in Malaysia. This event not only showcased cutting-edge innovations but also fostered connections that could lead to future growth in the beauty and healthcare sectors.
