Chiron Medical Expands Free Mammogram Initiative to 300 Women
Chiron Medical Group has launched an ambitious expansion of its “1:1 Breast Health Empowerment Charity Campaign,” now offering 300 free 3D mammogram screenings to women in need. This initiative, unveiled during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aims to enhance women’s health resources and encourage proactive self-care within the community.
Initially introduced earlier in 2025, the campaign provided 105 free screenings and personalized medical consultations to underprivileged women. The first phase engaged numerous low-income participants through a series of six interactive workshops, raising awareness about the importance of mammograms and early detection.
Partnerships and Community Impact
In this new phase, Chiron Medical has partnered with two respected non-profits: the Caritas Mutual Aid Centre for Single Parent Families and the Hong Kong Federation of Women’s Centres (HKFWC). These collaborations are designed to identify women in need and facilitate access to essential health services.
The program operates on a simple 1:1 model: for every woman who opts for a paid 3D mammogram, Chiron sponsors a free screening for a woman from an economically disadvantaged background. This model not only expands access but also fosters community involvement in health advocacy.
Key insights from the campaign’s first phase highlighted gaps in self-detection awareness and the critical role of routine screenings. In response, Chiron Medical is intensifying its educational efforts with additional seminars focused on breast cancer awareness, aiming to empower women with knowledge about their health.
Voices from the Community
Ms. Fong Nga-yee, Head of Clinic Operations and Head of Nurse at Chiron Medical Group, expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative’s progress. She stated, “The inaugural phase of our ‘1:1 Breast Health Empowerment Charity Campaign’ was heartening. Underprivileged women embraced the workshops with enthusiasm, and many who initially hesitated about screenings were motivated to proceed after attending. In this second round, we aim to reach even more women in need and debunk myths surrounding breast cancer detection.”
Ms. Vanness Lo, Team Leader of Caritas Mutual Aid Centre, emphasized the need for women to prioritize their health. She commented, “Many female caregivers dedicate their energy to family care, often at the expense of their own well-being. We are honored to collaborate with Chiron Medical to enhance women’s awareness and understanding of their health.” This initiative, she noted, aims to foster a culture of self-care that extends from individual health to family and community well-being.
Meanwhile, Ms. Sisi Liu, Director of HKFWC, highlighted the organization’s commitment to women’s health. She remarked, “We sincerely thank Chiron Medical for donating medical check-up quotas. This support helps spread the important message of ‘loving oneself’ to the public.”
As the campaign moves forward, Chiron Medical remains focused on its dual pillars of disease treatment and health management. The organization’s commitment to holistic care is evident in the establishment of FemWell, its women’s health brand, which prioritizes privacy, comfort, and dignity for patients.
Beneficiaries can access the services at FemWell, located at 2/F, Podium Plaza, 5 Hanoi Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. The center features a serene design tailored to women’s health needs, including private changing areas and advanced imaging rooms.
Chiron Medical Group continues to work towards ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to all, fostering a healthier future for women in the community.
