On November 25, 2025, Livingstone International, one of Australia’s leading medical supply companies, announced its remarkable growth from a medical supplier to a key player across multiple industries. The company now manufactures, imports, and supplies over 65,000 essential products in sectors such as aged care, education, beauty, and hospitality.

Livingstone International has developed a unique warehousing and supply chain strategy that enables it to support more than 20 key industries. The company’s Managing Director, Daniel Linn, emphasized that its success is largely attributed to its innovative No Backorder Policy. “We have invested in millions of cubic metres of warehousing here in Australia, where we can hold up to a year’s worth of supplies for each of our key clients,” he stated.

Strategic Inventory Management

With an inventory valued at over $48 million, Livingstone International ensures a seamless supply chain for its clients, which include 149 major public hospitals and 22 airlines. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many organizations turned to Livingstone for critical supplies, highlighting the importance of their approach. “Many products we rely on in Australia are manufactured overseas, which often involves a two to three-month waiting period for delivery,” Linn explained. “At Livingstone, we have the stock ready for distribution, while also locally manufacturing 120 products to meet immediate needs.”

Founded in 1984, Livingstone initially focused on medical and healthcare supplies. The company has since diversified significantly. Linn noted that the rationale behind this expansion was simple: “If we can supply products to people when they are unwell, why not also offer items for when they are well? Our guiding principle has been to meet needs 365 days a year.”

Future Opportunities and Innovations

Livingstone International continues to expand its reach, currently operating in 120 countries. The company serves a diverse customer base, including major public hospitals that rely on them for kitchen supplies and a leading mining company that obtains lab equipment and coats from them.

As Livingstone celebrates this milestone year, Linn is optimistic about the future. “We are already adopting some of the latest technology in automation and AI, diversifying our supply chain across multiple countries, and enhancing our IT infrastructure,” he stated. “These initiatives are driving growth across our B2C market, and we look forward to continuing to secure Australia’s supply chain and provide essential services.”

Livingstone International’s unique growth strategy not only underscores its adaptability but also its commitment to supporting critical industries in Australia. As the company continues to evolve, it remains focused on meeting the needs of Australians every day.
